Field Electrical TechnicianFull-Time | PermanentLocation: Mansfield, TX 76063Position OverviewAs a Field Electrical Technician, you will conduct electrical apparatus testing at various client locations. This role requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and excellent customer service. Youll have opportunities for career development through training, mentorship, and leadership roles"”while working alongside a dynamic and dedicated team.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret electrical schematics, including One-Line and Arc Flash diagrams.Inspect and test electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, and other substation equipment.Operate advanced industry-standard testing instruments.Prepare and complete detailed testing reports.Diagnose electrical issues using various diagnostic tools.Repair or replace wiring, components, or fixtures using appropriate tools and equipment, including aerial lifts and platforms.Participate in on-site scope reviews and provide technical recommendations for project execution.Mentor junior technicians in safe work practices and testing methodologies (preferred).QualificationsAssociate degree in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC) from a recognized technical college or a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution preferred.Equivalent training/experience from military programs such as Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, or Navy Seabees will also be considered.Proficient with computers, including email, internet usage, data entry, and Microsoft Excel.Strict adherence to electrical safety protocols is required.Must have the ability to travel locally or regionally, with occasional overnight stays.Preferred Qualifications & SkillsExperience with Power DB software is a plus.OSHA 10/30, MSHA, NFPA 70E, and CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED certifications preferred (training available if needed).NETA/NICET Certification or a valid Electrician's license is desirable.Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in electrical testing and troubleshooting.Additional RequirementsMust pass a pre-employment drug screening and be subject to random drug tests.Must clear a pre-employment criminal background check.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and nights.Must be available for travel at least 50% of the time.About Us: SPECTRAFORCE is one of the fastest-growing workforce solutions firms in the United States.
