If youre passionate about engineering, precision, and green energy"”this is your chance to make a real impact.ðŸ› ï¸ What Youll DoAs a Civil Estimator, you'll play a critical role in shaping the early success of each project by preparing accurate, competitive, and technically sound cost estimates for large-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and business development teams to turn complex site conditions and technical plans into winning proposals.Responsibilities:Analyze RFPs, site conditions, technical drawings, and civil specifications to fully understand project scope and estimating requirements.Prepare civil cost estimates and Bills of Materials (BOM) for components such as grading, access roads, foundations, and stormwater systems using internal estimating tools (e.g., Income Map).Develop and organize technical proposal documents, including scope narratives, assumptions, exclusions, and draft schedules.Collaborate with Procurement to request and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes for civil work and installation.Review early-stage civil designs to validate constructability and cost-efficiency, providing feedback to optimize layout and materials.Participate in risk and pricing review meetings, supporting leadership with data-driven insights.Maintain well-documented project folders, cost summaries, and historical cost databases for future reference and continuous improvement.Ensure estimates comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) standards.What We're Looking ForEducation: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.Experience: Minimum of 2 years in civil engineering or 1 year in estimating utility-scale renewable projects.Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and MS Project.Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking, proactive mindset, and excellent communication.Preferred (not required): Experience with Civil 3D, SAP, or cost estimating software/take-off tools.Additional RequirementsValid U.S. Driver's LicenseAbility to lift up to 25 lbs and travel occasionally to project sitesAuthorized to work in the U.S. (No sponsorship available)Compensation: Competitive and based on experienceWhy Join CJR Renewables?At CJR Renewables, you'll be part of a global team committed to driving sustainable infrastructure.
