EstimatorLocation: Queens, NYAbout the CompanyNational General Contractor and Construction Management firm with over 50 years of proven experience in the commercial construction industry.Diverse portfolio of projects including Healthcare, Mission Critical and Commercial Offices.The company is privately owned and holds several strong relationships with both private and public sector clients. They are looking now to add an experienced Estimator to their Queens office.ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and aviation construction projects, including quantity take-offs, labor, materials, and subcontractor pricingAnalyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate and competitive bidsCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure alignment between estimates and actual project conditionsSolicit, review, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and coverageMaintain up-to-date knowledge of market pricing, construction means and methods, and industry trendsParticipate in value engineering exercises and scope clarifications to identify cost-saving opportunitiesAssist in project handoff to operations and provide continued estimating support as needed throughout pre-constructionExperience *****Minimum 3 years of experience as an Estimator in the commercial construction industryPrior experience working for a General Contractor or Construction Manager requiredStrong proficiency in Bluebeam, Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, or related estimating softwareExperience estimating aviation projects or other technically complex scopes is a plusStrong understanding of construction drawings, scope review, and bid-levelingExcellent communication, organization, and attention to detailSalary Range: Up to $150,000 per yearBenefits: Healthcare, Dental, Vision, 401k Match, Generous PTO, Annual Bonus
