Job Title: Administrative AssistantLocation: The Big Fresno Fairgrounds - Fresno, CAPay Rate: $25.00 per hourEmployment Type: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential for extension)Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Hours will increase leading up to and during the 2025 Big Fresno Fair (October 1 - 12), which will include nights and weekends.Position Summary:The Big Fresno Fair is the 5th largest fair in the state of California and welcomes 500,000 people each year during its 12-day Fair in October. Year-round it welcomes over 1.3 million people with its 250+ interim events. At The Big Fresno Fair, our team is dedicated to providing exceptional services to our clients. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to contribute to the smooth operation of a busy office.Key Responsibilities: As an Administrative Assistant at The Big Fresno Fair you will be responsible for providing essential support to our team and ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of the office. You will manage schedules, handle communications, maintain records, and assist with a variety of administrative tasks.· Manage and coordinate calendars, appointments, and meetings for CEO and team members.· Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other inquiries.· Prepare and organize documents, reports, contracts and presentations.· Handle office correspondence, including filing, sorting, and distributing mail.· Maintain office supplies inventory and order supplies as needed.· Assist in the preparation and organization of monthly Board meetings and events, including Board Agendas and Minutes.· Assist CEO with Board correspondence.· Support with data entry, record-keeping, and other administrative duties as assigned.· Provide general support to the team to ensure smooth daily operations. Qualifications:· High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).· Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.· Effective problem-solving skills with adaptability to changing priorities.· Strong clerical and data entry skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.· Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including professional customer service (both verbal and written).· Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, Pagemaker, Publisher) and AccountingWare· Able to work in a busy environment and multi-task efficiently and effectively.· Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy, multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.· Professional demeanor and ability to collaborative effectively with diverse teams.· Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.Direct Report:· This position directly reports to CEO.Compensation: · This is an hourly paid position with no overtime.· Pay depends on experience; anticipated pay is $25 per hour.· PST (Permanent, Seasonal, Temporary) fees are required to be taken from paycheck but are available for reimbursement upon separation from the state.How to Apply· To apply email your cover letter and resume to jobs@. · The interview process will include a skills test to assess candidate qualifications.
