This position will be onsite each day at our Waco, TX facility. Mechanical DesignerThis Designer will be a critical part of critical ongoing capital projects for PolyglassWhat you Get to **Create 3D shop drawings / machine designs of industrial automation parts and materials using a variety of design toolsCost optimization of designsPerform value engineering duties to support our Engineering and Operations TeamsSupport ongoing fabrication projects with appropriate follow-up and communicationProduce strong documentation to support ongoing projectsGenerate Bill of Materials (BOM)'sCorrect errors / omissions on documentationThe skills, experience and knowledge you bring to our dynamic Engineering *3-15 years' experience in mechanical drafting/design, 3D modeling in an industrial automation environmentBackground in Machine Design, Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Building Infrastructure Modeling (BIM) and Product Data Management (PDM)Proficiency in the following design **** Solidworks, AutoCAD 3D, Autodesk, Plant 3D or RevitExperience with document storage systems / vaultsFluency in performing calculations as required on mechanical systems such as sizing of piping, fluid systems, pumps, as well as ability to size shafts, power transmission components, motors, gearboxes, bearings, as well as other systemsYou're a strong fit for our role and environment because you collaborate well, take feedback well and can effectively capture and deliver on the vision of the greater teamThis position will be onsite each day at our Waco, TX facility.
