Title: Protection & Control TechnicianLocation: Winchester, KY 40391 - Up to 10k relocation packageShift: 1st, M-F - 40 hour work weekPay: $100k-$124kInsight Global is currently seeking a Protection and Control Technician for a permanent full-time opportunity in the Lexington, KY area. This technician installs and maintains protection and control equipment, including relays, RTUs, and SCADA systems. Responsibilities include ensuring wiring is correct, managing protection system asset databases, and preparing reports. This role involves bypassing, isolating, and restoring substation equipment, developing cost estimates, and coordinating work schedules with various departments and contractors. Additionally, they maintain documentation, perform safety checks, and assist with commissioning and troubleshooting of equipment.Required Skills and Experiences:Professional working experience installing and maintaining protection and control schemesExperience with equipment like relays, RTUs, SCADA communication systems, transmission facilities, distribution substations and energy control centersUnderstanding of transmission system protectionProfessional working experience with SEL relaysNice to Have:Associate or Bachelor Degree
