Medical Billing Revenue Associate

POSITION OVERVIEW:The Medical Billing Revenue Associate plays a key role in ensuring accurate billing, payment processing, and account resolution for patient accounts. This individual supports timely reimbursement and performs a wide range of revenue cycle duties that contribute to a positive patient financial experience. This is a full-time, onsite role in San Antonio, TX.PERKS:Long term contract with possibility of converting to a full time positionPay Rate: $18/hr W2Positive and inclusive team culture committed to professional developmentSupportive leadership and clear growth paths within the healthcare revenue cycleOpportunities to engage in meaningful work that impacts patient care and satisfactionRESPONSIBILITIES:Perform billing, follow-up, cash reconciliation, and account resolution tasks using established systems and processesRespond to account inquiries from patients, providers, or third-party payers via phone, email, or internal systemsMonitor and work payer rejections, underpayments, and denied claims to ensure timely resolutionMaintain accurate documentation in all patient account systems according to compliance standardsResearch and resolve payment posting errors, including unapplied cash and correctionsCommunicate trends and operational insights to leadership to support process improvementQUALIFICATIONS:3-5 years of experience working with Collections, Cash Reconciliation, multi-facility hospital business office environment, inpatient / outpatient billing requirements of UB-04 and HCFA 1500 billing forms.Experience with medical billing, revenue cycle, or healthcare financial servicesFamiliarity with UB-04 and HCFA 1500 forms, coding, or insurance billing processesKnowledge of electronic claims submission and common claim denial scenariosComfortable using revenue cycle and patient accounting systemsClear and professional verbal and written communication skillsCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:This position offers an hourly pay rate of $18/hour.
