We transport critical materials that support almost all industries in the U.S. Whether it's helping grow crops, delivering oxygen to hospitals, providing nitrogen or oxygen for rocket launches into space, the work you do with LGT makes a real difference.Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for operating the service desk and creating repair orders for the Inside Shop Manager.Main ResponsibilitiesCreate Repair Orders in TMT for all shop locations, to include California, Baytown, Jackson, Timmonsville, Toledo, and Ohio.Create Repair Orders for Driver Reports using TMT to be assigned to inside and/or outside shops.Input repair order information and close repair orders. Ensures all repair orders comply with applicable FMCSA regulations prior to completion.Run weekly reports by location for jobs pending and jobs completed.Run weekly technician reports for hours worked. Submit weekly reports to Inside Shop Manager for review and approval. Submit approved reports (timecards) to payroll for processing.Process warranty claims with applicable vendors.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNone.Required Skills/AbilitiesProficiency in computer software for scheduling, invoicing and record-keeping.Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Problem-solving skills and attention to details.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in automotive technology or customer service is a plus.Proven experience as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or in a similar customer service role within the automotive industry.Knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance, and repair terminology.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work standing up, walk, use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment, and speak and listen, both over the phone and in person to customers and fellow employees, in order to perform the above listed duties. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to work in a seated position, climb or balance and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 75-100 pounds.
