CNC Machine Operator

Temp to perm position1st and 2nd shift availableWhat will you do?In this role, you will be involved in the machining or processing of metal and non-metallic parts by operating CNC Milling Machines.Key **Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines to perform tasks such as turning, drilling, bar feeder, and live tooling.Optimize set-up times, maximize machine utilizationAbility to run CNC Lathe / Vertical millsUnderstand specifications of the tasks by reading blueprints, route instructionsExperience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Troubleshoot programs and make adjustments when neededSetup CNC lathe machines to complete full cycles to produce a high and low volume of parts, improve productivity, maintain offsets, and inspect parts with a high degree of precisionFollow the in-process part inspection process, and notify the Supervisor/Lead on the occurrence of non-conformance.Communicate with superintendents, managers, production control, and quality personnel for assignments, and resolve quality issues.Work safely and wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift. Document all issues written to ensure a smooth transition between shiftsCheck and perform preventive maintenance daily2nd Shift ** Monday - Thursday, 2:30 PM - 1:00 AMWhat are we looking for?Were looking for team players, who are adaptable to a changing environment, take pride in learning, and enjoy working with others.Key **Knowledge of all required measuring equipment which includes calipers, gaugesProficient math skillsKnowledge of metals, part-holding fixtures, and lathe/mill toolingExperience preferred but not limited to the following ** Hyundai, Haas and Mori CNC turning centersSimple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in EnglishPhysically able to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning componentsWork scheduled hours and comply with the companys timekeeping policy and all other company policiesAbility to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environmentConsistently stand for an entire shiftStrong knowledge of machining practices and materials is a must, as is general mechanical knowledgeWillingness to be trained with a desire to learnAbility to work in a team settingGreat work ethic, reliable, positive attitude
