Overview: This position supervises entry and intermediate professional level employees or team leaders of support employees in Facilities, including skilled traders, maintenance employees and security personnel. Sets day-to-day goals and oversees planning and scheduling of facilities maintenance.Primary **Oversees planning, organizing, and scheduling for maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of the facilities to ensure upkeep of the facilitiesManages and assists with the selection of outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and equipment to ensure operational objectives are met.Maintain buildings and grounds that include electrical, plumbing, security systems, and HVAC.Manages security personnel and implements building security, safety protocols and organization, to ensure security and safety aspects are maintained.Inspects and approves work performed by outside contractorsAssesses and evaluates the physical space requirements of the organization and recommends plans to meet needs.Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, completion dates, and construction feasibility.Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.Ensures proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance.Interact with Leadership team regarding progress of projects.Ensures Environmental compliance with all laws, regarding waste management, recycling programs, and etc. Responsible for the sourcing, pricing and purchasing of shipping, janitorial, and other supplies.Responsible for managing the Safety Program, knowledge of OSHA regulationsManage the Security Program, being the first point of contact for Security TeamPreferred **Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment.Ability to routinely balance simultaneous tasks, solve and propose solutions to practical problems involving multiple variables, and enforce adherence to continuous planning schedules.Must be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal, teambuilding and leadership skills.Must be familiar with OSHA, NIOSH, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project is strongly preferred.Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals is necessary.Knowledge of job-related information - manuals, blueprints, etc.
