Senior Civil Site Construction EstimatorA well-established civil contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator specializing in site development and utilities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in estimating civil site work, including earthwork, drainage, and underground utilities, who is ready to contribute to a growing and safety-focused team.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare comprehensive cost estimates for civil site construction projectsSpecialize in site clearing, excavation, drainage, utilities, grading, and pavingAnalyze construction documents to determine scope and materialsPerform accurate quantity take-offs and develop cost proposalsAttend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits for risk analysisSolicit and review quotes from subcontractors and vendorsPresent budgets, reports, and project plans to internal stakeholdersCollaborate with operations and project management teams throughout bid processInterpret and apply relevant construction standards and specificationsSupport a culture of safety, quality, and accountabilityMaintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and partnersOther duties as assignedQualifications & SkillsExperience with HCSS HeavyBid/HeavyJob and AGTEK strongly preferredProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong math skills, including geometry and arithmeticComfortable interpreting construction specs and drawingsCapable of managing multiple bids and deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsUp-to-date knowledge of local and state construction standardsWillingness to participate in training and professional developmentOccasional travel for site visits required; primarily office-basedEducation & ExperienceDegree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred but not required5-7+ years of proven experience estimating civil site and utility projectsBackground in both private and public work preferred; emphasis on private sectorValid driver's license and U.S. work authorization required
