W2 Contract Onsite in Shelby, NC Electronics Test Technician 40-45/HR Keys from Mgr:* This role requires someone to execute electrical/Electronics Testing on Motor Controllers and Power Supplies. Person will be working with Oscilloscopes, Multi Meters, test for voltage resistance, power supplies, E- Loads, Power Analyzers, etc.* Person should have some experience with embedded electronics and circuit board experience. We design and build the boxes and write our own software for those boxes. Need to have someone who knows how the insides work, and not just from a high-level, but down to the individual circuit components (e.g. resistors, caps, ICs, etc.). * There are no scripted procedures to person will need the exp walking in knowing when a test needs to be done without all of the information* Person will also need to be versed on Soldering and needs to live close enough , or be able to drive there, to come in and take a soldering test on fine-pitch componentsRole:This group handles the PCB and electrical assembly and installation to their units. From the Manager: "Person should have circuit board prototyping/reworking, electrical wiring, panel, and soldering experience per J-STD-001. Person should also have computer proficiency (e.g. AutoCAD, Visio, Office, Altium, etc.) and come from a product development mindset. Need someone I can assign an open ended task/project to and expect them to bring it to closure. Preferred education background: BSEE in EET (Electrical Engineering Technology) or Associates in EE. Someone with more of a background on practical applications of electrical/electronic theory than a design engineer would have. "* at least an associate's degree in electrical engineering technology and/or electrical engineering* NOT an entry level role - Person should have a solid background and resume for this. Mgr put 10+ years of experience but see what you find.* strong debugging skills of both printed circuit/wiring board (PCB/PWB) based embedded motor controllers and panel based controllers/test fixtures* background in controls and theory of brushless motors* expert in using test equipment needed to debug embedded motor controllers (oscilloscopes, programmable DC power supplies, logic analyzers, signal generators, e-loads, etc.)* self-starter/independent and willing to "own" their tasks* willingness/ability to build and document test fixtures/setups* manage/maintain a small electronics engineering (motor controller) lab* assemble/make electrical prototypes/breadboards (single circuits like op-amps, filters, comparators...* work with engineering to put test fixtures/setups togetherEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
