PROJECT OVERVIEWThe Senior Project Manager will provide expertise in structural steel fabrication and erection, particularly utilizing TEKLA software. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical proficiency in structural engineering, and a proven track record of managing complex construction projects.This Role RequiresMeticulous attention to detailA strong safety mindsetEffective communicationThe ability to coordinate multiple stakeholdersGoal: Deliver projects within scope, budget, and schedule.RESPONSIBILITIESProject Planning & CoordinationLead project planning, including defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelinesCoordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractorsDevelop project schedules and resource allocation plansResource ManagementManage project budgets, costs, and resourcesProcure materials, equipment, and subcontracted servicesOversee staffing and assign tasks based on skills and expertiseQuality Assurance & ComplianceImplement quality control measuresConduct inspections and audits for complianceAddress non-conformities and implement corrective actionsRisk Management & MitigationIdentify project risks and develop mitigation strategiesMonitor progress and resolve issues proactivelyMinimize delays, cost overruns, and other negative impactsCommunication & Stakeholder ManagementServe as the primary contact for project stakeholdersProvide regular updates on status, milestones, and challengesFacilitate collaboration and resolve conflictsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)Minimum 7 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on structural steel fabrication and erectionProficiency with TEKLA softwareStrong understanding of construction methods, structural engineering, and industry best practicesExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasksFamiliarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., AISC, OSHA, AWS)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSGeneral office environmentTravel to the Downingtown, PA office or project sites as neededJGM Offers a Competitive Wage and Benefit Package Including:Medical, Vision & Dental InsurancePTO & Holidays401(k) + MatchingLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Short/Long Term DisabilityGenerous Referral ProgramTraining and Further Education This job description is subject to change based on the needs of the business and is not all-inclusive.
