Our client is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager -Sector Lead. The position offers an exciting opportunity to grow and lead several product lines, including Human Machine Interface (HMI) hand controllers and joysticks, as well as other aerospace and defense components. The successful candidate will develop opportunities within the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) sectors and other related markets.The focus is on driving revenue growth, acquiring new clients, and cultivating long-term partnerships.Job **Responsible for business segment growthDevelop new relationships with prospective customers and program personnel. Expand on current customer relationships within the aerospace and defense communities.Prepare and present briefings to convey technical and customer service capabilities. Key customers include Raytheon, GDLS, Boeing, NG, other A&D primes and government agencies.Update existing market analysis by collecting data of existing avionics and controller technologies within the aerospace and defense communities; determine future trends including competitor information.Master the product lines and understand the market sector dynamics, competitive landscape and growth drivers. Collate, review, and communicate the information to management and engineering personnel.Advise strategic "next moves"; contribute to IRAD formulation and business capture plans.Lead technical capture teams to create winning strategies. Develop the win strategy and champion proposal efforts. Manage technical and cost proposalsJob **Ability to drive success-based product capture plans to grow order bookAbility to understand product cost buildup, pricing and margins7+ years of engineering or technical sales in the defense or aerospace fieldMicrosoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel to at least intermediate level.A thorough understanding of program funding streams and the ability to identify, engage and liaise with strategic and program decision makers.A working knowledge of business development planning and market analysisExcellent customer relationship presentation and negotiating skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent attention to work product detail.A successful track record of developing winning strategies and order book growth in aerospace and defense marketsSkill at developing and managing technical proposals; strong technical writing and presentation skills, and superior desktop computer skills.Ability to obtain a US Gov security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.
