Construction Safety Manager

Job Summary:The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs to ensure a safe work environment on construction sites. This role involves monitoring compliance with OSHA standards and company policies, conducting safety training, leading incident investigations, and promoting a culture of safety across all project phases.Key Responsibilities:Develop and enforce site-specific safety plans and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.Conduct regular job site inspections to identify and mitigate safety hazards.Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training sessions for all personnel and subcontractors.Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.Maintain accurate safety records and documentation, including incident logs and inspection reports.Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into daily operations and planning.Serve as the primary liaison for safety audits and regulatory inspections.Promote a proactive safety culture through leadership, accountability, and communication.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).3+ years of construction safety experience, preferably in commercial or industrial projects.OSHA 30 certification required; CHST, CSP, or equivalent credentials preferred.Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, safety protocols, and risk management practices.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and influence safe behavior across diverse teams.
