Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the planning, coordination, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects for the NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). The APM will work closely with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and DEP representatives to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Assist in managing day-to-day project operations, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and documentation.Coordinate with DEP personnel, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contracts.Track project progress and prepare regular status reports for internal and external stakeholders.Support the preparation and submission of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.Participate in project meetings and site visits; document meeting minutes and follow up on action items.Assist in managing project closeout procedures, including punch lists, final inspections, and documentation.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.2+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably with water/wastewater or public infrastructure projects.Familiarity with NYC DEP standards and procedures is highly desirable.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., HCSS, Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.OSHA 30 certification preferred.Benefits:Base salary between $120k-$140kHealthcare 90% paid for by employer.
