Plumbing Estimator - Plumbing DivisionPlace Services, Inc., has an immediate need for a Plumbing Estimator in our Plumbing Division to be based out of our Marietta, GA location.The Plumbing Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and bids for site development and commercial plumbing projects. This includes underground utilities, storm and sanitary sewer systems, water mains, and interior/exterior plumbing systems for commercial projects. The Estimator analyzes project documents, performs quantity take-offs, evaluates subcontractor and vendor quotes, and collaborates with clients and internal teams to ensure estimates are technically sound and cost-effective.Who We Are:Place Services Inc. is a leading commercial construction company with our headquarters based in Canton, Georgia. Our depth of clients expertise ranges from the grocery industry to big box retail as well as both state and Federal government projects in military and healthcare.Key Responsibilities:Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil and commercial plumbing scopes including site utilities, domestic water systems, storm/sanitary sewer, gas lines, and plumbing infrastructure for commercial buildings.Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to determine labor, material, equipment, and time requirements.Perform quantity take-offs for underground utility systems and plumbing installations using digital and manual methods.Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to assess existing conditions and project requirements.Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for plumbing materials, equipment, and labor.Ensure subcontractor and vendor proposals fully address project specifications and scope.Calculate total job costs, including direct labor, materials, equipment, subcontracted work, and general conditions.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to align cost estimates with project goals and budgets.Offer value-engineering solutions, including alternative materials or installation methods, to reduce costs or improve constructability.Stay current with industry pricing, plumbing codes, materials, and installation practices relevant to commercial projects.Qualifications:3+ years of estimating experience in civil construction with a strong emphasis on commercial plumbing systems and site utilities.Proven ability to read and interpret plumbing and civil drawings, specifications, and technical documents.Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam Revu, On-Screen Takeoff, Timberline, or similar platforms.Familiarity with plumbing codes, commercial building standards, and local utility requirements.Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.Experience with RFIs, change orders, and project documentation processes is a plus.As an EEO employer, Place Services, Inc. is committed to providing all applicants and employees with equal access to employment opportunities, regardless of sex, race, age, color, national origin, disability, pregnancy, religion, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
