Job Description

Our client is a leading civil contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across both private and public sectors. We specialize in utility installations, site development, and large-scale earthwork, with a focus on excellence, safety, and innovation.We are currently seeking a Civil Estimator with proven experience in bidding on infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, and storm utility systems, as well as large-scale mass excavation and dirt work. This is a critical role in our pre-construction team and offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects throughout the region.Responsibilities:Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for civil construction projects, including utilities and earthwork.Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bids.Work with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility.Perform takeoffs for earthmoving, utility piping, and related civil scopes.Track historical data, maintain cost databases, and assess subcontractor and supplier quotes.Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and strategy meetings.Develop schedules and phasing plans to support bid submissions.Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil Estimator in infrastructure construction.Strong background in bidding on water, sewer, storm utilities, and large mass excavation projects.Experience with both private development and public municipal bids.Proficient in industry-standard estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, AGTEK, Trimble Business Center, or similar).Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills.Ability to interpret civil plans and specifications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional development and advancementA collaborative, team-oriented cultureExciting projects with real community impact
