This role is a strategic blend of Hunting (30%) and Farming (70%) responsibilities, focused on driving revenue growth through both new client acquisition and expansion of existing retail accounts.The ideal candidate will come from a services-based IT background, with a proven track record of selling software solutions/services to retail clients. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction by aligning technology solutions to business needs.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship ***** Manage and grow existing retail client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.New Business Development (30%): Go-to-Market, Identify, pursue, and close new opportunities within the retail sector, leveraging a consultative sales approach.Account Farming (70%): Upsell and cross-sell additional services within existing accounts. Maintain a deep understanding of client needs and industry trends.Sales Strategy & ***** Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet revenue and growth targets.Stakeholder ***** Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders (C-level, Directors, VPs) and internal delivery teams to ensure alignment.Solution ***** Work closely with pre-sales and delivery teams to shape and propose tailored IT solutions (e.g., digital transformation, cloud, data analytics, application services).Market ***** Stay updated on the latest industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs in the retail domain.***** Willing to travel occasionally to client locations for meetings, presentations, and relationship building.**6-15 years of total experience in IT-Software Solutions and services salesMinimum 3 years of recent experience selling software services to retail clientsPrior experience working in Global IT Services and Consulting Firms/ Large-Scale System Integrators (Sis).Domain *Strong understanding of the retail sector and its technology landscapeProven ability to align IT solutions with retail business challenges****Strong communication, negotiation, Sales and presentation skillsAbility to build rapport with stakeholders at all levelsStrategic thinker with a customer-first approachProficiency in using CRM tools and sales tracking systems
