The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, on-screen takeoff, and plan & spec breakdown. This role plays a key part in supporting our project bids, helping ensure timely and competitive proposals that align with company goals.Key *Review and interpret project scope, blueprints, and specificationsUtilize on-screen estimating software for project takeoffsPrepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipmentAnalyze project schedule & requirements to identify cost-saving opportunitiesCoordinate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors for pricing and scope clarificationMaintain and update a database of unit costs and vendor pricingAssist in developing bid packages for prospective clients3+ years of experience in estimating within a similar industryKnowledge of plumbing equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specificationsAbility to write RFI's, RFQ's & SubmittalsProficiency in Quotesoft preferredProficiency PDF-Xchange Editor, Microsoft Suite Programs and PlanswiftProficiency in Microsoft Excel and related programsExcellent attention to detail and strong organizational skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple deadlinesHigh school diploma or GED required; trade school or college education in mechanical or construction-related field a plusWhat We ***Competitive compensationHealth benefitsPaid time off and holidaysGrowth opportunities within a stable, family-oriented companySupportive team environment
