Position Summary:Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County is seeking a talented and highly driven individual to lead our fund development team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for our community, a proven track record in building relationships and driving fundraising success, and be a great storyteller with the ability to inspire diverse audiences to support a meaningful cause.As our Director of Fund Development, you will be a key collaborative voice advocating for affordable housing. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing and executing all aspects of fund development. You will lead the fundraising team in enhancing our visibility and securing the vital funds needed to support our homeownership program and capital campaign, helping families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.Key Responsibilities:Donor Cultivation and StewardshipDevelop and implement donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategiesBuild and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partnersGuide and support the fundraising efforts of the board, staff, and volunteersCoordinate and oversee fundraising strategiesTrack donor interactions and gifts using donor database; ensure accurate reporting and donor acknowledgment; prepare regular reports evaluating fundraising effortsGrant ManagementResearch, identify, write, and submit grants to support annual operations, homebuilding projects, and special initiativesMaintain a calendar of grant deadlines and reporting requirementsMonitor awarded grants for compliance and deliverable trackingEventsPlan, organize, secure sponsors for and execute HFHAC's annual fundraising events in collaboration with staff and volunteer committeesCoordinate additional events such as donor appreciation gatherings, community builds, and volunteer recognition functionsEvaluate event outcomes and implement strategies for growth and sustainabilityMarketing and Community OutreachCoordinate development and distribution of newsletters, annual report and other print and digital materialsOversee marketing campaigns and public relations initiatives that increase visibility and engagement with HFHAC's mission, including a consistent and compelling presence across social media platforms and the organization's websiteRepresent HFHAC at public speaking events, community meetings, and church or civic group gatherings to share the organization's impactPartner with volunteer coordination efforts to align volunteer engagement with donor outreach effortsAdditional ResponsibilitiesWork with the Executive Director to prepare the annual development budgetServe on the Development Committee and guide implementation of fundraising strategiesLead, support, and empower a cohesive fundraising team through active communication and delegationQualifications:Bachelor's degree required (preferably in communications, nonprofit management, public relations, or a related field)3-5+ years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit fundraisingDemonstrated success in major gift cultivation, grant acquisition, and event planningExperience with donor database systems and fundraising softwareSocial media and marketing experience a plusRequired Skills:Goal-driven, results-oriented, and proactive in developing new funding opportunitiesExceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects with efficiency and attention to detailStrong team player with the ability to lead and collaborate across staff, board and volunteer teamsComfortable making public presentations and asking for funding among diverse community stakeholdersAbility to think strategically and work independently with minimal supervisionWorking Conditions:Full-time position (38 hours per week)in Anderson, SC.Standard office hours with occasional evening or weekend work for special events.Reports to the Executive DirectorMust be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.Compensation:Competitive salary based on experienceHealth benefits, paid time off, IRA match, and professional development opportunities.How to Apply:Please submit your resume and cover letter to jobs@ highlighting your relevant experience and qualifications, and why you are passionate about supporting Habitat for Humanitys mission.Note: This document describes typical duties and responsibilities and is not intended to limit management from assigning other work as desiredHabitat for Humanity is an equal opportunity employer and seeks to employ and assign the best qualified personnel for all our positions in a manner that does not unlawfully discriminate against any person because of race, color, religion, gender, marital status, age, national origin, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, veteran/reserve national guard status, or any other status or characteristic protected by law.
