Headquartered in Jacksonville with regional offices across Florida, we've been delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions to public and private clients for over 40 years.Our mission is simple: enhance transportation infrastructure and improve mobility, safety, and quality of life one project at a time.The OpportunityWe are seeking a talented and experienced CEI Project Administrator / Project Engineer to lead and manage a large, complex road and bridge projects for the Florida Turnpike Enterprise in Miami. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality infrastructure projects that enhance Florida's transportation network.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily construction activities on assigned highway and bridge projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents and FDOT standards.Provide construction engineering expertise and collaborate with project teams, including contractors, to address and resolve technical challenges.Direct and assign tasks to inspectors, ensuring effective allocation of resources and maintaining high inspection standards.Make technical decisions in the field to support construction progress and resolve conflicts in a timely, effective manner.Review and monitor monthly project schedules to ensure adherence to timelines, milestones, and overall project goals.Maintain accurate and thorough project documentation in accordance with FDOT requirements.Communicate effectively"”both verbally and in writing"”with Inspectors, Engineers, Contractors, Local Businesses and Property Owners, Utility Owners, Local Agencies, and FTE Representatives to ensure project success.Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents, offering sound engineering judgment to support project personnel.Assess completed work to determine contractor payment eligibility and ensure quality compliance.Lead and supervise the CEI project team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.Required Qulifications8 Years, if non-degreed, 6 Years, if a degreed Civil Engineer (PE preferred) and 3 years minimum as an CEI Project Administrator or Construction Project ManagerExtensive experience in Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) for roadway and bridge projects.Strong knowledge of FDOT standards, policies, and procedures.Excellent problem-solving abilities and leadership skills to effectively manage project teams.Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with various stakeholders.
