Construction Project Engineer

Position: Project Engineer - Commercial TILocation: Los Angeles, CAType: Full-Time | On-SiteOverviewA well-established general contractor in the Los Angeles area is looking for a Project Engineer to support fast-paced commercial tenant improvement (TI) projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who's ready to contribute to a wide range of high-end interiors, including office, retail, restaurant, and medical buildouts.You'll be a key player in coordinating project details, managing documentation, supporting field operations, and helping ensure projects are delivered smoothly, on time, and on budget.What You'll DoAssist in the planning and execution of TI construction projects, from preconstruction to closeoutHelp prepare bid packages and coordinate subcontractor awardsManage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentationSupport permitting efforts and coordinate with local agencies as neededTrack construction progress and assist with schedule and budget updatesCollaborate with superintendents and project managers to ensure quality and safety standards are metParticipate in site walks and help address jobsite logistics, deliveries, and access issuesFacilitate communication between internal teams, consultants, vendors, and clientsHelp coordinate material procurement and ensure timely deliveriesWhat You Bring2+ years of experience as a project engineer or coordinator on commercial construction projectsPrior exposure to tenant improvement work highly preferredKnowledge of construction practices, safety regulations, and project sequencingStrong organizational and communication skillsExperience with construction software such as Procore and Microsoft Office toolsAbility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting timelinesBachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience also considered)Why JoinCompetitive salary (based on experience)Comprehensive benefits package including medical, retirement, and paid time offOpportunity to grow within a reputable and experienced GC in the LA marketSupportive team culture that values collaboration, quality work, and continuous improvement
