We are actively seeking a Project Manager/Estimator with proven experience in union-based industrial piping projects. The right candidate brings deep knowledge of piping systems and union construction protocols, and can confidently take a job from bid to final billing while ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.About the RoleEstimating:Perform takeoffs and develop competitive, accurate estimates for union industrial piping projects.Interpret blueprints, specs, and labor scopes within the framework of local union agreements.Obtain pricing from union subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.Prepare and submit formal proposals and bid packages on time.Conduct site walks and attend pre-bid meetings as needed.Project Management:Oversee awarded projects from mobilization through closeout.Coordinate with union hall dispatches and manage labor per CBA requirements.Maintain accurate project schedules, manpower planning, and cost tracking.Interface daily with superintendents, foremen, and union craft personnel.Ensure strict compliance with safety policies, project specs, and labor contracts.Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and billing.Conduct regular progress meetings and maintain strong client communication.Sales:Develop and maintain customer relationships.Work with Division Manager and Business Development Manager to expand the business.Input customer information, leads, contacts, opportunities into the CRM.Work with the other divisions on cross-selling opportunities.Qualifications5+ years of experience in industrial piping with a strong background in union labor projects.Solid knowledge of piping systems, fabrication/installation, and OSHA safety standards.Familiarity with local union CBAs and practices (pipefitters, welders, laborers, etc.).Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel).Ability to read and interpret drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation.Exceptional communication, scheduling, and organizational skills.Must be comfortable both in the field and in client-facing meetings.Preferred SkillsExperience working on union projects in industries such as heavy industrial, manufacturing, food & beverage, or pharmaceutical.Background in mechanical or construction management.Working knowledge of tools such as MS 365, ERP systems.Pay range and compensation package130K+, full benefitsWhat Success Looks Like:Projects delivered on time, within budget, and with safe, productive union labor performance.Strong client relationships and repeat work based on execution and reliability.Accurate and timely estimates that win work and set up field teams for success.Proactive problem-solving and clear leadership on-site and in the office.
