TTG Forestry Services, LLC (TTG FS), an affiliate of BTG Pactual Timberland Group, is seeking a Marketing Manager based in the Jackson, Ohio region. BTG Pactual Timberland Investment Group (TIG) is one of the world's oldest and largest timberland investment management organizations, managing over 2.6 million acres of properties across four continents.Position OverviewThe Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in developing and executing marketing strategies for timber sales in Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. This role involves working closely with the Region Manager and leading a team of forestry professionals to maximize timber sale revenues and enhance client satisfaction through effective marketing and sales practices.Key ResponsibilitiesTimber Sales Marketing: Plan and implement marketing plans for timber sales, manage committed volume agreements, optimize sales through knowledge of hardwood sawtimber and alternative markets. Provide contract oversight once plans are implemented. Create annual harvest plans per assigned budget targets and track revenue.Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the timber industry.Sales Strategy: Formulate and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue from timber sales, including pricing, promotion, and distribution.Leadership: Provide direct and indirect leadership for a team of 2-4 Foresters, fostering a culture of excellence and safety.Harvesting Operations Support: Collaborate with the harvesting operators to ensure alignment between marketing strategies and operational capabilities.Data Management: Maintain sales records and manage an enterprise-level information system with spatial and tabular data.ESG Engagement: Actively participate in environmental, social, and governance programs, promoting safety, stewardship, sustainability, and community relations. Engage actively in state forestry associations.Sustainable Forestry Initiative: Ensure timber sales are SFI compliant, lead internal and external audits.QualificationsExperience: 15 years of relevant industry experience with demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.Education: Associate degree minimum; Bachelors Degree preferred in forestry, marketing, or a closely related field.Knowledge: Expertise in hardwood forests, markets, timber sales, and market analysis. Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and ArcGIS.Skills: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, along with proven networking abilities.Aptitude: Project management, critical thinking, business acumen, and entrepreneurial mindset.
