Based in South Haven, Michigan, Riveer specializes in rugged, efficient, and environmentally responsible systems designed for harsh, high-demand environments.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Capital Equipment Sales Representative with a proven ability to identify, develop, and close sales opportunities for high-value industrial systems. This role requires a strategic thinker who understands the complexities of capital equipment sales, has a demonstrated ability to identify and penetrate new market segments to drive business growth, and values genuine relationship-building both within customer organizations and across industry segments.The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business, nurturing existing relationships, and strategically expanding Riveers customer base. A strong understanding of industrial sales cycles, long-lead decision making, and solution-based selling is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and pursue new business opportunities through research, cold outreach, inbound lead follow-up, and industry networkingNavigate complex organizations to build relationships at multiple levels; understand customer structures to leverage internal championsBuild and maintain a dynamic sales pipeline using CRM tools to track activities, forecast sales, and drive long-term growthConduct customer visits and in-person presentations to determine customer needs as well as to demonstrate Riveers equipment capabilities and value propositionsCollaborate cross-functionally with Riveers engineering team to develop customized quotes, proposals, and supporting materialsRepresent Riveer at trade shows, conferences, and regional events to expand presence and identify/generate qualified leadsUse information and data on industry trends, competitor products, and customer feedback to refine sales strategy and inform product developmentQualifications3-7 years of experience in capital equipment sales or related industrial sales rolesProven track record of building and closing a sales pipeline in a technical or engineered product environmentStrong prospecting skills and comfort with outreach via phone, email, social media, and in-person visitsExperience with CRM systems for managing leads and forecasting sales activityExcellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsHigh degree of professionalism and the ability to manage long sales cycles with multiple stakeholdersSelf-motivated with a drive to exceed sales targets and develop lasting customer relationshipsBachelors degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred but not requiredWhat We OfferCompetitive base salary plus commissionMedical, dental, and vision insuranceSimple IRA with company matchPaid time off and holidaysThis job description contains information about the key responsibilities of this position.
