Are you looking for a change?Job Title: Senior Business AnalystLocation: Hybrid - 2 days in Springfield, 3 days remoteDuration: Long-term Contract Position SummaryThe Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of disaster recovery operations, including planning, coordination, execution, validation, and documentation across enterprise infrastructure and application portfolios. This role plays a key part in safeguarding business continuity by ensuring that disaster recovery processes are comprehensive, well-documented, regularly tested, and aligned with compliance, audit, and organizational standards.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of application and infrastructure architectures, coupled with the ability to document technical workflows and validate recovery procedures in a highly structured manner. Success in this role requires cross-functional collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across IT, compliance, and business continuity teams.---Key Responsibilities1. Disaster Recovery Planning and CoordinationCoordinate and manage disaster recovery test schedules and execution plans across diverse application and infrastructure teams.Ensure readiness of stakeholders by maintaining up-to-date test calendars, readiness checklists, resource allocation trackers, and stakeholder contact lists.Facilitate pre-test coordination meetings, communicate expectations, and ensure alignment of responsibilities across participating teams.Support the execution of tabletop exercises, failover simulations, and live DR tests in accordance with organizational continuity strategies.2. Documentation Development and MaintenancePrepare, update, and maintain comprehensive recovery documentation, including:Application-specific recovery runbooksStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for disaster recovery and business continuity, including ISCP documentationRecovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) documentationCommunication, notification, and escalation proceduresReview documentation for accuracy, completeness, and currency in collaboration with technical subject matter experts.Ensure all documentation complies with internal governance frameworks, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.3. Failover Testing and Recovery ValidationSupport the execution of disaster recovery and failover tests by monitoring test events, verifying procedures, and documenting outcomes.Validate system functionality, data integrity, and application performance within DR environments to ensure operational continuity can be maintained.Identify gaps or deviations from documented recovery procedures and facilitate root cause analysis in collaboration with IT teams.Track and document resolution of recovery issues and incorporate improvements into revised recovery plans and documentation.4. Reporting and Executive CommunicationDevelop structured and professional After-Action Reports (AARs) summarizing DR test objectives, activities, outcomes, and lessons learned.Create executive briefings and summaries for IT leadership, business continuity managers, and risk/compliance stakeholders.Maintain comprehensive audit trails and testing artifacts for regulatory review, ensuring all test evidence is captured and archived.Recommend procedural or documentation enhancements based on test findings and stakeholder feedback.---Skills and ExperienceRequiredSolid understanding of enterprise IT architecture, including application components, databases, middleware, storage, and networking as they relate to disaster recovery.Demonstrated ability to document technical procedures and workflows, ensuring clarity and consistency across teams.Hands-on experience supporting DR or BCP test planning, coordination, and execution in large-scale environments.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word (for documentation), Excel (for tracking and metrics), PowerPoint (for reporting), and Visio (for process mapping).Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical teams, project managers, and business stakeholders.Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.PreferredKnowledge of ServiceNow's APM module will be a plus but not mandatory.Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms and documentation repositories such as ServiceNow, SharePoint, or Confluence.Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity standards, such as ITIL, ISO 22301, or NIST SP 800-34.Knowledge of compliance requirements related to DR, such as SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or CJIS.---Professional AttributesAbility to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across multiple departments to gather requirements, verify documentation, and support recovery testing.Commitment to process excellence and continuous improvement.Adaptability and composure during recovery events and high-pressure scenarios.Contact/Application Information:Interested candidates with relevant experience may apply with their updated resume to [shaik.mohammad@ ].Equal Employment Opportunity: provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
