Construction Project Manager

Job DescriptionThe MEP Project Manager is responsible for overseeing various and numerous mechanical, electrical, & plumbing capital projects within the Design & Construction department. The ideal candidate will be jointly responsible for managing all aspects of the specific project type at-hand and will require strong project management skills and technical expertise in the various MEP Systems throughout our portfolio. The individual is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on-time and within budgetary constraints.• Develops comprehensive project specific plans including scope of work, budget, and schedule.• Coordinate with on-site property representatives, architects, engineers and/or subcontractors to manage project related matters and technical issues to mitigate risks. • Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure deliverables are met timely and on budget.• Maintain accurate documentation and report appropriately to leadership.• Ensure scope of work is completed in accordance with Federal, State and local agencies. • Conducts field inspections, review contractor invoicing and maintain project cost control.• Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.• Manage change orders, RFIs and other project specific documentation.• Ability to travel as necessary for project related needs, this is expected to be frequent.• Perform as a team player, be collaborative and inclusive. • Other duties as assigned by management. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, preferred.10+ years of project management experience. Equivalent construction experience accepted.Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, standards, and construction practices.Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions oriented mindset.Understanding of all facets of the engineering design/construction process.Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
