Job Description

This is great opportunity for current students to learn how to design controls solutions and the basics of PLC programming for material handling equipment. Learn equipment requirements, business and customer requirements that drive the design of the technical solutions. Participate in electrical designs, installation support, electrical installation debugging and support of electrical hardware engineering. Must be willing to travel 70+%. Must be local to Cincinnati Area.Essential Duties and Responsibilities to Learn (while working with a mentor)Exposure to PLC programming to support MHE (Material Handling Equipment) using Rockwell Studio 5000Learn to interface with customersLearn to interface with internal engineering/project management to determine system requirementsLearn to support electrical installation via interfacing to electrical installersDebug electrical installation of controls and motor componentsUnderstanding of electrical principlesUnderstanding of motor controlTroubleshooting and problem resolution skillsUnderstanding of control devicesBasic mechanical skillsVFD operational understandingAbility to integrate components via serial interfaces and Ethernet interfaces70+% travel to job sites (local/drivable and by plane). Site location depends on equipment exposure, customers and work assignmentsEducation Pursuing actively a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or related fieldLanguage skills- ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
