Production SupervisorElizabethtown, KYOur global glass manufacturing client is hiring a Production Supervisor to lead and supervise plant production operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures in order to meet KPI's.**Manage all plant activity on shift, working closely with other supervisors to ensure that all plant and department goals are metPromote a safe and environmentally productive work environmentEffectively communicate to all levels of associates within the companyCoordinate production startups, shutdowns and job changesManage labor usage of the production team including overtime, absenteeism and trainingLead problem solving activitiesInterface with support ** maintenance, quality, supply chain, etc.Coaches and develops production team for continued successCoordinates work schedules of direct reportsConducts annual performance evaluations for production associates*****Three to five years related leadership and production experienceAssociate or Bachelor's degree in business or technical arena preferredKnowledge of and ability to utilize problem solving tools such as Six Sigma, Fishbone, KT, 8D, etc.Good understanding of 5S and lean principlesModerate to strong computer skills including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.Quality systems and ISO knowledgeLeadership skillsPrevious experience in leading continuous improvement activitiesExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong process skillsStrong analytical and project management skills
