This role is ideal for a passionate cybersecurity professional with strong technical aptitude and a desire to contribute to a high-impact mission within a 24/7 SOC.This is an exclusive opportunity to work onsite in a hybrid capacity at a prominent DoD contractor site with a long-term outlook and access to cutting-edge security tools alongside a team of experienced analysts.Key *Monitor and analyze alerts from SIEM systems, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection, and other log sources.Conduct incident triage, containment, remediation, and documentation for security events.Correlate internal telemetry with threat intelligence to proactively identify and mitigate threats.Enhance detection capabilities, playbooks, and response protocols.Collaborate with cross-functional teams across cybersecurity, IT, and business units.Mentor junior SOC analysts and share best practices.Contribute to threat hunting and continuous process improvement.Required *Must be a U.S. CitizenBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related fieldCompTIA Security+ Certification required2-3 years of hands-on SOC Analyst experienceStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work a 2nd shift schedule (12:00 PM - 10:30 PM) as part of a 4x10 rotationDemonstrated passion for cybersecurity and eagerness to grow in a mission-critical environmentDesired *Additional certifications such as cloud security certs or cybersecurity boot campsExperience in a DoD/federal SOC environmentProficiency with tools such as Splunk, QRadar, Wireshark, endpoint detection platforms, etc.Work Environment & *2nd Shift Only: 12:00 PM - 10:30 PMWeekly **(A) Sunday - Wednesday(B) Wednesday - SaturdayOnsite presence required per Return-to-Office (RTO) directive: 3 weekdays onsite per week (weekend shifts are RTO-exempt)Must be available to work holidays and alternate non-traditional schedules as needed
