Business Intelligence Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer with deep expertise in SQL querying, Power BI (DAX and Power Query), and a strong track record of working with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights. This role will be pivotal in designing and developing data models, creating dashboards, and translating data into strategic decision-making tools across the organization.Key **Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather reporting and analytics requirements.Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards and data models using DAX and Power Query.Write efficient, complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.Translate business needs into high-quality, scalable BI solutions that drive data-driven decisions.Conduct presentations and demos to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of analytical findings and dashboard functionality.Maintain and improve existing reports and dashboards for performance, accuracy, and usability.Work closely with data engineering and database teams to ensure data integrity and performance.Mentor junior BI developers and support documentation and best practices within the BI environment.5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics.Expert-level proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and optimization.Advanced experience with Power BI, including strong command of DAX and Power Query (M).Demonstrated ability to gather and document requirements from business stakeholders.Proven experience presenting insights and dashboards to non-technical audiences.Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas, normalization).Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.Experience working in agile or iterative project environments is a plus.Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field; Masters degree is a plus.Preferred ***Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).Exposure to Python or R for advanced analytics.Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git).Familiarity with business domains such as finance, operations, or sales analytics.
