Building Supervisor IState of Connecticut Judicial BranchHartfordThe State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking a Building Supervisor I for a position at the Supreme Court. Under the direction of an employee of higher grade, the position is responsible for supervising a small to moderate size staff and ensuring that all buildings and grounds responsibilities are met. The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to the title including but not limited ***** Supervises and coordinates all maintenance and custodial responsibilities for a small to moderate size building and ensures compliance with established policy and standards; prepares building condition reports and supply and service requisitions; assists in the preparation of performance reviews; inspects and repairs, when necessary, defective building systems such as lighting , plumbing, heating, air conditioning, etc.; trains and assigns staff to specific tasks; keeps employee attendance records; supervises or performs other minor and routine repair work; maintains adequate inventory control of supplies; performs all the duties of the lower level maintenance works and performs all other related duties as required.Preferred candidates will have considerable general maintenance knowledge, supervisory experience, interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills; basic computer skills; ability to prepare minor project scopes of work, and obtain estimates with outside contractors. Incumbent may be required to respond to Supreme Court after-hours alarm notifications and travel in the course of their daily work.Salary ***** $69,589 - $89,706/year - plus State of Connecticut benefits. New employees begin at the minimum.
