Private family seeks an exceptional Seasonal Private Chef with a Michelin Star background to craft elevated, wellness-focused cuisine at their Southampton, NY residence. The ideal candidate will deliver sophisticated, restaurant-quality meals while managing all daily culinary needs with a focus on nutrition and artistry. This is a full-time, seasonal position in a dynamic, family-focused household, where culinary creativity, precision, and passion are highly valued. For the ideal candidate, this role offers the potential for a long-term opportunity at the family's primary residence in Palm Beach, FL.The Chef will be responsible for preparing and serving daily high-end, health-conscious meals for a family of four, with dinner service at 6:00 PM. The menu should reflect a blend of organic, nutritious cuisine, with particular emphasis on authentic Japanese and Italian dishes, presented with a sophisticated, restaurant-quality touch. The ideal candidate is personable, highly dependable, respectful and brings the ability to create unparalleled culinary experiences that blend artistry and sophistication. This position follows a flexible 5-day workweek, typically including weekends, with the ability to work extended hours as needed. Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with existing household staff are essential.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Design weekly menus inspired by global cuisines, with a focus on farm-to-table excellence, that strike a balance between family favorites and innovative global cuisinesPrepare custom, health-conscious meals that respect dietary restrictions (no pork or shellfish) and delight both adults and children alikePresent meticulously prepared multi-course dinner, 5 days per week with daily dinner service at 6:00 PM Prepare tasty, nutritious, whole food-based meals and snacks for children with a focus on organic ingredientsSpecialize in wine-pairing, ensuring the dining experience meets the sophisticated palate of a wine enthusiastUtilize cutting-edge kitchen equipment, including a dedicated pizza oven, to create unique and flavorful dishesOversee kitchen inventory, ingredient sourcing, and procurement to ensure quality and freshnessMaintain an impeccably organized and professionally managed kitchen environment, upholding the highest sanitary and cleanliness standard Prepare specialty items such as artisanal sauces, ice creams, and other custom culinary creationsProvide advanced menu planning with lead time to accommodate the familys lifestyleAdapt to the family's ever-changing schedule, ensuring flexibility with seasonal and travel commitmentsAdditional duties and responsibilities as needed and upon requestRequirements:Strong command of English language; superior communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent references required from both current and previous employersMinimum 5 years related experience working in a similar role for a private family as well as experience in a high-end restaurant environmentMichelin-level culinary expertise REQUIREDExceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; above and beyond attitudeStrong understanding of seasonal ingredients, health-conscious cooking, child-specific dietary requirements and nutrient-rich foodsProficient in managing kitchen operations, including inventory control and sourcingAdvanced skills in meal planning and preparation for a variety of dietary preferencesDemonstrated ability to craft both child-friendly and sophisticated meals that appeal to all agesPassionate about creating elevated but not overly rich meals, specializing in tasty, vegetable forward dishes Expertise in a wide range of culinary traditions, with an emphasis on farm-to-table and seasonal cooking, New American and French cuisine as well as high-end Mediterranean dishesPolished, poised and professional in both mindset and manor, use of utmost discretion at all timesA warm, collaborative approach to interacting with family members and staffAbility to seamlessly adapt to changing environments and household dynamicsValid Driver's License; confident driver with zero points on license Valid US Passport willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as neededLegally able to work within the United StatesCompensation: $650 - $850 per day
