With an in-house design department, we specialize in design-build projects.As a Construction Superintendent, you’ll play a key role within the on-site leadership to oversee and manage all aspects of the project. With your strong knowledge of construction means and methods, you’ll be in charge of coordinating and supervising both subcontractor and in-house resources to ensure the project is completed safely, efficiently, and within the specified timeframe and budget. Over 20% of MZT’s key leaders started in the field.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the performance assessment plan is updated monthlyCoordinate with the QC Manager and certified inspectors to inspect all work and rework. Maintain a rework log. Must be building oriented.Ensure that Contractor Production Reports are prepared daily.Coordinate with the QC Manager to ensure that design and construction submittals are reviewed and approved prior to allowing material on site and work to proceed with these items.Update As-built drawings daily, maintaining up-to-date set on site.Perform Punch-out and Pre-final inspections and participate in Final Inspections. Correct all deficiencies prior to the Final inspection.Coordinate with the QC Manager to ensure that all applicable tests, special inspections, and observations required by the contract are performed.Review the P6 master project schedule and create the three-week look-ahead schedule. Present this schedule to the Client at weekly progress meetings.Coordinate all jobsite work with the subcontractors. Schedule their arrivals and departures, coordinate work among various trades and subcontractors, and ensure crew performance.Regularly communicate with the Project Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Safety ManagerQualifications & ExperienceAt least five years of experience as a construction superintendentField construction experience requiredExcellent communication and organization skillsExperience with federal or public works construction projects is requiredExperience leading and maintaining the highest level in construction safety practicesAbility to develop a detailed project scheduleExperience in both civil/ horizontal and building/ vertical constructionAbility to pass a background check to gain access to work on military basesTechnical SkillsProficient with computer applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPointWhat We OfferSalary: $100,000 - $140,000 per yearHealth, dental, and vision insurance premiums 100% paid for you and your dependentsLife Insurance (100% premium paid by the company for the employee only)401(k) with 100% match up to 4% of salaryPaid time offFuel Card and Vehicle AllowanceReferral incentive programSafety incentive programScheduleFull timeHours vary, weekend work may be requiredOn-site where the project is located,Must be willing to travelEEOWe’re dedicated to creating a respectful workplace that values diversity and offers equal employment opportunities for all qualified candidates.
