We are currently looking to hire the right candidate to support our expanding operations.Commercial Project SuperintendentDuties and Responsibilities:Maintain superior relationships with all client representatives, vendors and project partners.Organize project job site to include all required permits, drawings, specifications, safety manuals, safety equipment. Ensure this area is kept organized, secure and does not interfere with the customer’s day to day operations.Promotes job safety and site cleanliness by implementing and enforcing safety and maintenance policies.Ensures all required inspections, material testing and commissioning activities are scheduled and completed in accordance with the project’s master schedule and all parties are notified in advance as required.Maintain project binder with all plans, specs, submittals, addenda, and daily reports are incorporated and kept in good order.Maintain As-Built drawings and keep them current at all times.Read and interpret Civil, Architectural, Structural, MEP, Fire Protection, Food Service, FFE plans and Specifications, as required by the project.Cross reference details and cross section notes from Floor Plans to Detail and Section Plans to ensure proper installation.Verify all contractor vs. owner supplied project items. Work with PM to ensure all owner supplied items are received in time according to master project schedule.Review SOW for all project subcontractors and ensure that they are coordinated in a manner which maintains or expedites the schedule, while achieving high standards of quality.Determine what items require shop drawings and submittals for coordination purposes and ensure they are processed in a timely manner. Must maintain approved submittals and shop drawings in job binder available for reference by owner / architect during job site visits.Review, understand and ensure all specified finishes, fixtures and hardware are being used and installed per plans.Recognize conflicts ahead of time by completing a thorough project layout validating locations for all new project elements above ceiling, as well as in wall switches and controls prior to rough in.Oversee and ensure effective execution of contracted work by providing detailed coordination of daily work activities with sub-contractors and client vendors.Maintain master project schedule and ensure two-week look ahead schedules are updated and distributed weekly to project team.Ensure all impacts to the master schedule are documented and notify the Project Manager immediately. Distribute updated schedules to project team as required.Ensure all changes in the work follow company change procedures and have all required approvals prior to proceeding with the work.Accurately record daily work activities and project procurement activities in the daily report. Include photo documentation as required.Effectively communicate issues in the field as they arise by notifying the PM and documenting in writing and with photos.Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must.Travel is required.Required Experience:Minimum 3 yrs. prior experience as a traveling Superintendent in the following sectors: retail financial services, critical facilities, restaurant – retail, and industrial.Proven track record of successful project completion from Kick-Off through close out.Must have expert ability to read and interpret Civil, Structural, MEP, Fire Protection, Food Service and Furniture plans.Proven knowledge of and experience with ADA compliance is preferred.Proven ability to utilize smart phones /tablets to effectively relay information from the field by taking photos, marking up photos and sending mark ups to appropriate parties via e-mail and text.Proven ability to communicate effectively via phone / e-mail in a professional manner.Must be technologically proficient with an ability to use software such as MS office, Outlook and MS Project.Benefits PackageCompany provided laptop or mobile work phonePaid time off401 (K)Health Insurance, Dental, Vision with Family CoverageLife InsuranceShort-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability CoverageThis is an excellent opportunity to apply your talent, vision, drive, and experience to the Brothers Group Team.
