Area Manager – Operations TechnologyThe ideal candidate will participate as a member of the NOES Project Team as the leader of the manufacturing process experts, Process Engineers and L2 Modeling Specialists. This candidate will join a project team launching the 800,000+ square foot facility, recruit and hire technical staff, work with OEM’s and the existing project team to commission equipment, and transition to an operations support and continuous improvement team.The Basics:Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical preferred). Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing disciplines with a record of success in project management, technical problem solving, and manufacturing team leadership.Demonstrated aptitude for learning and applying technical subject matter.Ability to understand and apply quality control concepts.The Extras:Experience working on a greenfield plant launch or plant start-up is preferred.Experience utilizing materials science concepts (steel, aluminum, cast iron) is preferred.Experience working with diverse teamsTRAITS TO BE SUCCESSFULThe successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic with a high degree of professionalism.The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills as problems expected at start-up are expected to be complex.The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize actions and resolve critical path responsibilities in a timely manner.The successful candidate will have solid team building skills and the ability to form strong relationships with colleagues and direct reports.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGParticipating in a project team as a critical team member.Serve as primary link between engineering resources and plant operating resources.Hiring and developing competent technical staff.Creating and maintaining adherence to safety management systems.Identifying efficiency losses and improving results through continuous improvement activities.Creating comprehensive commissioning plans transitioning equipment from design and fabrication stages to operating stages.Ensuring compliance with standards of safety and quality.Forming strong and effective relationships with colleagues in related functional areas.YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENTOffice, Construction, and Industrial settingDays, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloadsBENEFITS TO MAKE YOUR WORLD BETTERHealth & Wellness - You can choose between a high-deductible health insurance plan with a Health Savings Account (HSA) or a traditional PPO plan with a Flex Spending Account (FSA) option.
