Construction Manager - Electrical (Field-Based, Heavy Travel)Job Type: Full-TimeLocation: Multiple U.S. Locations (Travel Required 80-100%)Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 AnnuallyPosition SummaryThe Construction Manager - Electrical is a field-based leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction projects across multiple job sites. This position requires extensive travel and on-site presence, with no office-based responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, team leadership, and project execution in dynamic, fast-paced environments.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution & OversightManage all phases of electrical construction projects from mobilization to commissioning.Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications.Coordinate material procurement, equipment logistics, and crew scheduling.Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.Maintain and update project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.Team LeadershipSupervise and support field crews and subcontractors across multiple job sites.Assign tasks, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment with project goals.Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities.Lead daily briefings and enforce accountability for safety and productivity.Quality & Safety AssuranceEnforce strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.Conduct regular quality control checks and rectify non-compliance issues.Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement on all job sites.Electrical Systems ManagementReview and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.Ensure all electrical work meets design intent and regulatory standards.Qualifications3-5 years of experience as a Foreman or Construction Manager in electrical or solar construction.MN Electrical Journeyworker or other state electrical license is required.Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and construction site protocols.Proven ability to manage multiple crews and job sites simultaneously.Proficient in reading blueprints, scopes of work, and technical documentation.Skilled in Microsoft Office and construction management software.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.Ability to travel up to 80-100% of the time, including overnight stays.Preferred CertificationsOSHA 10/30First Aid/CPRRF AwarenessDOT Health Card (or ability to obtain)Work Environment:100% Field Work Exposure to varying weather conditions and construction environmentsMay involve climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working at heightsBenefits:Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidays401(k) with company matchProfessional development opportunitiesCompensation & Schedule:Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 annually (based on experience)Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday with occasional weekends as neededTravel: Up to 80% within Illinois and other states wihtin the US (overnight stays may be required)All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
