Come join us in powering accounting and financial services for high-growth startups across the country. We’re seeking a TechOps Associate to join our hybrid team based in Hoboken, NJ. This dynamic role blends hands-on project work, problem-solving, and collaboration with internal teams and clients to develop and optimize tools and processes that drive efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.Responsibilities Lead project-oriented initiatives to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and accuracy of accounting tasks.Develop tools using advanced Excel / Google Sheets techniques and coding languages to automate diverse accounting and operational functions.Maintain and improve existing tools and processes through regular analysis and updates.Collaborate with Furey Accounting and Onboarding teams during client onboardings to design and establish processes aligned with best practices and accounting standards.Evaluate and implement best practices across various accounting software and technology platforms, focusing on delivering maximum value and operational efficiency.What You’ll DoIn 3 Months:Develop problem-solving skills by addressing bugs, implementing fixes, and optimizing existing workflows within accounting tools.Build proficiency in navigating and leveraging complex financial and operational systems.In 6 Months:Strengthen your expertise in intermediate to advanced Google Sheets and Excel formulas to design solutions for automating accounting processes.Enhance collaboration and communication skills by working cross-functionally to identify and streamline workflows, improving tool efficiency and functionality.In 12 Months:Advance your coding capabilities through hands-on experience with Google Apps Script and other programming languages to create scalable, automated solutions for accounting tools.Refine project management and client-facing skills by leading the design and implementation of customized tools for onboarding new clients, addressing their specific business and operational needs.Deepen your knowledge of accounting systems such as Quickbooks Online, NetSuite, , Ramp, and others, applying this expertise to support and optimize workflows for clients and teams.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.1-3 years professional experience in Accounting, FP&A, Business Analytics, or other related fieldA learning-focused attitude combined with a tech-forward mindset.Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with both internal teams and clients.Strong attention to detail, proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, and expertise in data reconciliation.Solid understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP.Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.BENEFITSAll employees are provided access to a robust benefits program including:100% paid health, dental & vision, 401k, 4.5-day workweek, unlimited PTO, meeting-light culture, and moreAn incredible culture that truly emphasizes support for the team along with individual success, growth, and happiness
