Field Service Technician

Job ****The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, trouble shooting, updating and expertise of On-Board Computing Systems (OBC). The incumbent will travel to multiple facilities across our operating footprint to service and install OBC’s throughout the fleet.This Position Requires Frequent TravelKey ResponsibilitiesConducts the installation and service of ELD/GPS/AOBRD and fleet management equipment into various types of vehicles.Understands vehicle installation practices pertaining to Electrical Systems and Mechanical knowledge, with the ability to answer questions of others.Disassembles interior/exterior panels on commercial-type vehicles including the dashboard and panels found in various locations which can also include the engine compartment.Installs, configures, and troubleshoots hardware and/or software solutions supporting critical business functions and customer-facing services.Performs all functions relating to the receipt, inventory, storage, tracking, repair, disposal, and reporting of Information Technology assets utilized throughout the fleet.Preschedules service and proactively contacts maintenance and operation teams at each location when they are due for service and prior to holidays. Executes training programs for maintenance and operations teams on troubleshooting and configuration of the OBC system.Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
