About the JobConcrete Strategies is looking for a skilled small and heavy equipment Mechanic to join our team and perform regular preventative maintenance and service repairs to a wide range of Trucks and construction equipment. This position is based in St. Louis, MO.Compensation and BenefitsSalary Range: $60,000/yr - $90,000/yrCompetitive Annual Salary based on qualifications, skills, training, experience, and location.Discretionary Annual Bonus: Subject to company performance and individual contribution.Comprehensive Benefits Package Including: Medical, Dental and Vision plans, 401k, generous PTO and paid company holidays, employee assistance program, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage, learning & development programs and more!Key Duties and Responsibilities:Keep track of time spent on each piece of equipment and code towards preventative maintenance (Shop Overhead) or repair work (damage due to job).Facilitate ordering of parts and pieces as needed for equipment maintenance and repairs.Utilize resources at the STL shop to assist in this process.Service, maintenance, and repair of company fleet of small and heavy equipment and machines.Diagnose and repair systems, including computer-controlled, electrical, brake, hydraulic, mechanical transmission, HVAC, and engine.Interact with field personnel to schedule maintenance and/or repair needs.Perform routine welding and fabrication work on fleet.Maintain records of service operations.Use electronic record-keeping devices, as assigned.Perform other duties as assigned.Preferred Skills and QualificationsMobility to perform all maintenance assignments, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting 50 lbs, climbing, crouching, kneeling, reaching.Compliant with all company-required paperwork:Driver logs – log to be kept per DOT requirements.PTSA’s – to be completed and submitted through EHS Software on IPAD.Equipment Inspections – to be completed and submitted through EHS Software on IPAD.Safety Audits (as needed) – to be completed and submitted through EHS Software on IPAD.Effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating, reading, writing, and operating equipment and vehicles.Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.Experience repairing, installing, dismantling, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical equipment/instrument and controls.
