Field Service TechnicianReports to: Field Service ManagerLocation: Travel-based (Domestic & International); prefer base location in Wichita, KS - for someone with solid industry experience, may consider other locations.My client, with more than 60 years of innovation and craftsmanship, is a premier manufacturer of amusement rides enjoyed across the globe—from trains, trams, and carousels to thrill rides, observation wheels, and roller coasters is seeking a Field Service Manager.Their products serve world-class customers including theme parks, zoos, aquariums, and family entertainment centers. Backed by a skilled workforce and a leadership team committed to quality, we are passionate about delivering joyful experiences through exceptional engineering.Position Overview:Seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team of experts who bring our rides to life. In this customer-facing role, you’ll be responsible for installing, servicing, and troubleshooting our diverse product line—both domestically and internationally. This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys travel, and takes pride in delivering top-tier service and workmanship.Key Responsibilities:Travel to customer sites (U.S. and abroad) to install and support ride systems with professionalism and customer focus.Perform installations and service work in compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.Lead on-site installation teams, providing clear communication, training, and delegation to ensure project success.Prioritize safety, adhering to and enforcing company and industry standards.Provide in-house support to internal departments when not deployed in the field.Complete and submit detailed installation documentation and expense reports.Perform other duties as assigned to support company goals and customer satisfaction.What We Expect:Embody and promote Core Values: Truth, Team, Heart, Drive, and Joy.Represent the company with integrity, professionalism, and a solutions-oriented mindset.Collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth and successful field operations.Communicate effectively with managers, field personnel, and clients across all project phases.Work independently with strong problem-solving skills and good judgment.Actively contribute ideas to enhance field service processes, customer experience, and operational efficiency.Qualifications:3–6 years of experience in mechanical/electrical installation or service—experience in the amusement industry is a plus.Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, quality assurance, and project oversight.Willing and able to travel extensively (60–70% annually, including weekends and international trips).Strong communication, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.Proven ability to manage logistics, lead teams, delegate tasks, and adapt in high-paced environments.Proficiency with computers and mobile tools for reporting and communication.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required; valid passport or ability to obtain one.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (electrical and mechanical).Familiarity with ASTM safety standards is a plus.Must supply own basic hand and power tools.Must be comfortable with heights.What We Offer:Competitive compensationComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchPaid vacation, holidays, and personal timeEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramOpportunity to travel and work on globally recognized attractions
