Warehouse Team Lead

S&S Tire of Nashville, TN a leading multi-location regional wholesale tire dealer is seeking to add a Warehouse Team Lead to our Nashville, TN Wholesale location. Duties performed in this position include, but are not limited to:Warehouse Lead tasksAssists warehouse manager with the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by the warehouse team.Supervises all shipping and receiving activities performed by the warehouse team; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees on the warehouse floor throughout the shift.Leads by example, trains, motivates, and coaches warehouse teamReviews prioritize and organize all outgoing orders.Coordinates with the warehouse manager to manage personnel issues and requests.Leads crew by example by loading trucks and/or performing other duties as necessary.Performs administrative tasks as necessary.Maintains a working knowledge of all warehouse operations.Warehouse Receiver tasksLoads unloads, checks, and tallies tires to and from carriers [trailer trucks]Selects, packs, counts, marks, and palletizes tires of customer orders and places them in the assigned staging areas according to the bin locator system.Checks and verifies the accuracy of selecting, packing, weighing, marking, and counting of tires for customer orders.May operate order picker, pallet jacks, and other equipment in the execution of duties.Ensures safety guidelines are met in operating the equipment.Performs required counting, tallying, and marking on related inventory control documents.Participates in cycle and/or annual physical inventories.Ensures safety guidelines are met by the proper palletizing, re-palletizing, and restacking of tires.Maintain compliance with procedures and policiesJob Requirements:Minimum of two years of warehouse lead, supervisory, or management experience. Strong inventory control skills.Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices.Previous experience supervising and motivating associates This position requires manual labor, lifting tires up to 150 lbs. Must be able to lift and/or move tires with or without mechanical assistanceMust be willing and able to operate all warehouse related equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
