As a crucial member of our Construction team, the Group Operations Manager holds significant responsibility for fostering the growth and direction of a team of Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians. Anticipated to allocate 25-40% of time to supervisory duties, the incumbent will also engage in hands-on project work for the remaining duration. Supervisors will have the capability to design and engineer control system hardware and software programming based on project requirements. Additionally, they provide insightful analysis of building control and mechanical system performance as a complete systems and campus level.DUTIES AND **Control System Design and ProgrammingEnsure proper engineering, start up, commissioning, and closeout of assigned projectsAssist in development/management of department initiativesOverall fiscal responsibility of assigned projectsOverall labor planning for groupEnsure assigned projects are completed on time and within budgetParticipate in quartile goal reviews with direct reportsParticipate in performance appraisalsSupport training and development plans for direct reportsSKILLS AND *Exceptional interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work well within a team in both leadership and support rolesExcellent troubleshooting skillsExperience with electronics and basic electrical circuitsKnowledge of DDC (direct digital control) Theory and ApplicationsAbility to work independently and unsupervisedProficiency in ACADRobust programming skillsProven analytical skillsWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ****This position requires a combination of working in an office environment and routine visits to project jobsites up to 60% of working hours. Project jobsites present typical construction and outdoor conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment for safety purposes. Lifting and exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds more frequently is required. Must be comfortable climbing a ladder infrequently.
