Chief Administrative OfficerUp to $200k + BonusSavannah, GA (Onsite)The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) serves as the senior leader responsible for managing all operational, financial, and strategic aspects of the hospital. This role ensures the facility runs efficiently while delivering high-quality patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and achieving financial and operational goals. The CAO works closely with the governing board, physicians, and corporate leadership to drive growth, improve patient outcomes, and foster a positive organizational culture. As the primary executive representative, the CAO plays a critical role in community engagement, physician relations, and overall organizational success.Primary Responsibilities:Provide leadership for the hospital’s daily operations to ensure exceptional patient care, operational efficiency, and staff and physician satisfaction.Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic plans aligned with the hospital’s mission and market goals.Ensure the facility meets all state, federal, and accreditation standards, including CMS compliance.Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, patient safety, and operational excellence.Lead the recruitment, development, and retention of department leaders, collaborating with corporate HR.Build strong relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, and community leaders to support growth and service expansion.Oversee financial management, including budget development, cost controls, revenue cycle, and capital planning.Guide facility upgrades, technology improvements, and infrastructure projects to support clinical and operational needs.Evaluate new service lines, partnership opportunities, and business development initiatives to strengthen the hospital’s competitive position.Act as the primary spokesperson for the hospital in interactions with regulatory agencies, business partners, and community organizations.Report regularly to the governing board on hospital performance, key metrics, and strategic initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related discipline required; Master’s degree preferred. Relevant leadership experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.Minimum of 5 years of progressive hospital leadership experience, including prior roles as an Administrator, CAO, COO, or equivalent. Experience in a for-profit healthcare environment is highly desirable.Proven ability to drive operational improvements, enhance patient outcomes, and improve financial performance.Demonstrated expertise in managing complex healthcare organizations, including experience with regulatory compliance, financial management, and physician relations.Key Competencies:Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.Outstanding communication abilities, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels and external stakeholders.Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance.Ability to interpret and apply healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and operational excellence.Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage key performance metrics for decision-making.Commitment to fostering a culture focused on quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
