Overall ** The CNC Machinist A produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a CNC machine while adhering to quality and safety standards.Essential Duties & *Set up and program CNC machinesMake tooling and fixtures as requiredPerform file maintenancePerform First Article Inspection, including molds and segment inspection as requiredEnter SPC jobs into the computerCollect SPC data on the computerPrint and close out jobsSend and retrieve programs from the main computerComplete daily paperworkPerform set-up with tools providedPerform complete inspection of partsProperly complete dimensional inspection reportsProperly operate CNC machine to ensure productivity standards are metRead blue printsProperly document labor report, job travelers and other daily reports in a timely mannerCrosstrain in other areas as neededClean work areasFollow both verbal and written instructionsAdhere to 5S StandardsAdhere to all company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, policies for attendance and punctuality and standards for safetyOther **** Other duties based on the needs of the Machine ShopThe preceding functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.
