Our Client is committed to maintaining the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and innovation in the energy industry.Job Description: As an Electrical I&C Planner at the DC Cook Nuclear Plant, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating electrical and instrumentation & control (I&C) maintenance activities. This critical role ensures that all maintenance tasks are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with regulatory and plant standards. You will work closely with the operations and engineering teams to ensure the continuous reliability and efficiency of plant equipment.Key Responsibilities:Planning and Scheduling:Develop and maintain detailed work plans and schedules for electrical and I&C maintenance, ensuring alignment with outage schedules, operational requirements, and plant priorities.Coordinate with maintenance supervisors, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to optimize work execution and minimize plant downtime.Technical Support and Troubleshooting:Provide technical expertise for electrical and I&C systems during planned and unplanned maintenance activities.Review and interpret technical documentation, such as schematics, drawings, and specifications, to support effective troubleshooting and problem-solving.Resource Coordination and Procurement:Identify and coordinate the necessary resources (personnel, materials, equipment) required for maintenance tasks, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Ensure timely procurement of parts and materials, and manage vendor relationships to ensure the quality of supplies and services.Compliance and Safety:Ensure compliance with all relevant nuclear regulatory standards, Our Client’s safety procedures, and industry best practices.Perform safety analyses for maintenance activities, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate hazards, ensuring a safe working environment.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of work orders, schedules, materials, and equipment status.Generate detailed reports and presentations on maintenance performance, outage status, and any issues that require escalation or additional attention.Continuous Improvement:Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and enhance plant performance.Participate in post-job reviews and analysis of plant outages to drive improvements in future planning and operations.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or related field.A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical and I&C planning or a similar role in the nuclear power industry, with experience at Our Client or a comparable organization preferred.Strong knowledge of electrical, I&C systems, and maintenance planning software.Familiarity with nuclear industry standards, safety regulations, and outage management.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.Proven ability to solve complex technical problems in high-pressure situations.
