Supplier Quality Engineer

Job ***** Supplier Quality Engineer Job Location- Charlotte North Carolina ** 12 Months Contract Pay * 45.00$/hr on W2• Supplier **** Implement and control the support of the cross-functional supplier selection team with required quality data; conduct supplier audit and supplier capability or capacity audit and assessment of supplier risk.• Product and Process ***** Lead cross-functional teams to perform Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) according to applicable process descriptions and standards. Support the supplier quality measures along the complete process chain.• Supplier Quality ***** Planning, implementation, optimization and controlling of the efficiency of the defined Supplier Quality Management Process (procedures, guidelines and tools), to ensure the requested quality. Coaching supplier to follow Siemens Energy Quality Management Process and usage related tools.• Supplier ***** Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs, quality root cause analysis and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation measurements at the supplier. Track implementation and effectiveness of measures.• Design Review and Improvement (supplier early involvement): Participate design review as main interface of SQM with design engineers. Conduct design review with suppliers for new design. Initiate early supplier involvement for new design if necessary. Support DTL (design to localization) and DTC (design to cost) effort.What You Bring• Bachelor of Science Degree required in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or a similar discipline. Master’s Degree desired Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.• You have experience performing supplier qualification, product/ process qualification & technical supplier development to provide a global, demand covering, quality assured and cost-effective supply base for responsible suppliers• You have experience in leading projects and running virtual cross-functional teams in an international environment. You are a self-starter, determined and self-reliant; your organization, strategic, analytical thinking, leadership skills and intercultural expertise round up your profile• You have extensive knowledge in welding and coating. CWI certification preferred.• Knowledge of ISO & ASME Standards.• Open minded, results & solution oriented and strong analytical thinking. AdvancedCommunication/Presentation skills, basic Commercial Knowledge• Familiarity with root cause analysis and other quality & risk management methodologies• Project Management Experience preferred• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of time. Must have or be able to obtain a passport• Lead Auditor experience or certification• You are fluent (writing and speaking) in English• Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical field and/or working in Supply Chain● Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
