With multiple residential communities, multifamily projects, and scattered lot developments underway, we are rapidly expanding and seeking team members who thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.About the Role:The Estimator / Purchasing Coordinator will play a critical supporting role in our construction procurement process. You will be responsible for sending out bid packages, managing purchase orders, maintaining subcontractor records, and assisting with cost tracking across multiple active developments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a dynamic homebuilding company.Responsibilities:Bid Management:Distribute construction plans, scopes of work, and bid packages to subcontractors across various trades.Proactively follow up with subcontractors to ensure timely bid submissions.Maintain a bid log for each project and assist in compiling bid comparisons for review by senior staff.Purchase Order Administration:Create, issue, and track purchase orders (POs) and work orders in coordination with project schedules.Verify cost codes and ensure all POs align with approved budgets and scopes.Assist with job start packages by coordinating PO execution and contract documentation.Subcontractor Compliance:Collect, review, and track all subcontractor onboarding documentation, including W-9s, licenses, insurance certificates, and signed agreements.Maintain an organized and up-to-date subcontractor/vendor database by trade and geography.Systems & Reporting:Support the maintenance of cost libraries, unit pricing, and standard scope templates across all projects.Coordinate with construction, estimating, and accounting teams to ensure cost alignment and proper tracking of job-level expenditures.Assist with invoice matching and PO reconciliation in support of monthly construction draws.Qualifications:1–3 years of experience in construction purchasing, estimating, or project administration (homebuilding experience preferred).Working knowledge of construction scopes and vendor coordination.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets; familiarity with PO/ERP systems (e.g., HomebuilderONE, Sage, BuildPro) is a plus.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Why Join Bluenest?Be part of a mission-driven team delivering homes for working families.Gain exposure to all phases of residential construction and development.Work in a collaborative environment with real growth potential as the company expands.Equal Opportunity Statement:We are committed to diversity and inclusivity in our hiring practices and strive to create a workplace that reflects the communities we serve.
