Project Executive – Commercial ConstructionEmployment Type: Full-Time, ExemptLocations (2 roles):McCordsville, INLittle Rock, AR / Coppell, TX / Metairie, LA (one opening, based in any of the listed cities)Compensation:Salary: $117,000 – $156,000Relocation Assistance AvailableBenefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage; life, accident, and disability insurance; 401(k) plan with company matchPosition OverviewWheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Project Executive to oversee large-scale commercial construction projects on behalf of our client. This leadership role is responsible for full contract execution, financial performance, and client satisfaction across multiple projects and locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing high-value commercial projects, mentoring teams, and driving results that align with organizational goals and client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all project team members including Project Administrators, Accountants, APMs, PMs, and Superintendents—potentially across multiple sites and geographiesLead and champion safety and risk management initiativesMentor and support career development of Project Managers and SuperintendentsMonitor and manage all project financials, reporting directly to executive leadershipHandle employee development updates and performance discussions with the Vice PresidentInterpret and apply contract terms and conditions to manage project risks and business issuesLead subcontractor and vendor negotiations, including development of Subcontract and PO exhibitsCollaborate on scheduling plans to align with energy savings and project goalsManage change orders, billing processes, and monthly financial forecasts and reportsLead monthly project meetings and track the status of open risksServe as the primary client contact and project leadEnsure project completion aligns with financial and sustainability goalsBuild strong relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and stakeholdersRepresent the company professionally within the industry and communityPromote company values and ensure compliance with policies and proceduresQualificationsExperience:8–10+ years in commercial construction projects valued at $20M+Experience in healthcare, higher education, life sciences, advanced tech, or corporate office buildsDesign-build experience preferredEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related fieldField experience within core market segmentsSkills & Competencies:Leadership in managing complex, multi-layered project environmentsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore (or similar), and scheduling tools like PrimaveraFamiliarity with lean construction methodologies such as Pull Planning or Last Planner SystemStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to maintain focus and adapt in a fast-paced environmentTravel RequirementsFrequent travel to job sites and regional offices as neededWork Environment & Physical RequirementsOffice and site-based work, including prolonged desk time and occasional physical activityMust be able to lift and move up to 20 poundsOccasional kneeling, standing, or repetitive motionInterested candidates are encouraged to apply directly through Wheeler Staffing Partners.
